Admissions process

The College of St. Scholastica admits qualified students from diverse cultural, geographical, economic, religious and racial backgrounds. Applications are evaluated based on information that demonstrates an ability to succeed both academically and socially at St. Scholastica. We holistically review each applicant.

Application deadlines

Early Action is a non-binding application option for students who want to apply early to St. Scholastica. You will receive priority scholarship consideration, a decision no later than December 1 and will still have until May 1 to submit your enrollment deposit.

Early action

  • Application deadline: November 15
  • Admission response: December 1

Regular Decision

  • Application deadline: February 1
  • Admission response: Within 3 weeks of complete application

Rolling Admission

  • Application deadline: August 31
  • Admission response: Within 3 weeks of complete application

Application requirements

  • High school transcript (GED also accepted)
  • Standardized Test Scores or a written essay describing overall academic accomplishments. Read more about our test-optional admission policy.
  • St. Scholastica does not have a foreign language requirement for admission, however, we do have a requirement for graduation from the College as part of our general education program. NOTE: We require either a year at the college level, or, if you have completed at least three years of the same language in high school (grades 9-12) you are considered exempt from the requirement.
  • Participation in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service, church and other personal enrichment activities

We accept transcripts several ways, as we know every school manages them differently. We accept paper copies, as well as electronic transcripts via National Clearinghouse and Parchment.

If you choose to use standardized test scores, they can be included on your transcript, sent to us officially from ACT (our code is 2098) or SAT (our code is 6107), or to speed the process up, you can download a copy of your score report from your online account, and attach it in an email to your admissions counselor

Applicants who do not meet the established admissions requirements may be considered for Special Status admission. Special Status applicants are accepted for fall semester entry only.
