The College of St. Scholastica holistically reviews each applicant. Admission decisions are based upon the overall assessment of each student’s academic preparation and performance. Our Admission Counselors are your support team as you progress through your application process.

Application Deadlines

St. Scholastica accepts applications for fall semester through the end of August. The application is free and deposits for admission are fully refundable until May 1.

Transcript Information

Please order the following official transcripts:

  • College transcripts from all colleges that you have attended, including military, trade, technical, unaccredited or differently accredited schools
  • College transcripts from all colleges from which you have received financial aid
  • High School transcripts, if you have no college credit
  • International transcripts: Please see the International Admissions page for additional requirements
  • Closed school transcripts: Check the OHE website to see who to contact for an official transcript

All transcripts are required for admission and to determine the number of credits you may transfer to St. Scholastica. Transcripts must be received on or before the application deadline. Order early in the application process!

Email official transcripts to transcripts@css.edu. Electronic transcripts must be from a certified electronic official transcript provider such as ParchmentDocufideScrip SafeNational Clearinghouse or other certified, online transcript services.

Mailed transcripts must be in the original sealed envelope from the school. Mail to:

Application Requirements

  • Required application items
    a. Complete the St. Scholastica or Common Application for admission.
    b. Submit an official high school transcript (GED also accepted)
  • Optional application items
    a. ACT or SAT
    b. Essay
    c. Official college transcripts, if any

Test Optional

Students applying to The College of St. Scholastica are not required to submit standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) for admission.

If you choose to use standardized test scores, they can be included on your transcript, sent to us officially from ACT (our code is 2098) or SAT (our code is 6107), or you can download a copy of your score report from your online account and attach it in an email to your admissions counselor.

Favorite Thing to do in Duluth

I have a few favorites … Grab a Sammy’s pizza and take my kids to one of the beaches to throw rocks and attempt to swim in the cold water, go to all the fall festivals that happen around town in September and October, tour Bentleyville in December, and skate on one of the many hockey rinks during the winter.

Whether you’re an outdoorsy person or not, you’ve got to check out some of the different hiking trails that Duluth has to offer (like the Piedmont Trails!). There’s nothing better than a beautiful overlook of the whole city!
