According to AUPHA, decisions made by healthcare executives can help improve life for hundreds, even thousands of people every day. Healthcare executives have a sense of social mission — they deeply care about the people they work with and serve. The U.S. is seeing significant growth in healthcare leadership needed to effectively manage the business of healthcare delivery and finances, and work effectively with diverse teams.

The MHA program aligns with The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Leadership Competencies, CAHME accreditation and industry needs which are categorized into six critical competency domains:

  • Strategic and business planning skills and knowledge

Career Outlook

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for medical or health services managers are poised to grow by 29% from 2023 to 2033. And while it is difficult to predict the number of jobs available in the field, the profession is growing rapidly and career opportunities are high.

Eligibility

New Students
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Note: Meeting minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission.

Returning Students

A returning student is a student who was admitted and enrolled in a program at St. Scholastica but has been absent from the program for at least three continuous semesters, including summer. To return to the same program at St. Scholastica, a returning student must be in good academic standing and must apply for readmission to the College.
