Theater students at The College are bringing a "spirited" Noël Coward comedy to the stage for several performances starting Friday.
The students will stage "Blithe Spirit" at 7:30 p.m. April 17, 18, 23, 24, and 25, and at 2 p.m. for Sunday matinee performances on April 19 and 26. Performances will be in the St. Scholastica Theatre building behind Tower Hall.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors/students. The production is directed by Merry Renn Vaughan, director of the St. Scholastica Theatre Program.
Noël Coward's sharp wit shines in this hit comedy. As research for his new book, novelist Charles Condomine invites an eccentric medium, Madame Arcati, to the house to perform a séance. She inadvertently opens the door to another world and Charles soon finds himself haunted (quite literally) by his first wife, Elvira. Having remarried after Elvira's death seven years ago, Charles finds himself in the middle of a crazy battle with his worldly and unworldly wives.
The performance concludes this year's St. Scholastica Theatre season. For more information visit spotlight.css.edu, St. Scholastica's one-stop shop for arts and lectures information and tickets.
