Holiday tradition: "Handel's Messiah Sing-Along"

Last year's sing-along

Last year's sing-along

Community members are invited to be a part of the entertainment at St. Scholastica's free 34th annual "Handel's Messiah Sing-Along" at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus.

Bring your friends, family and your voice to the sing-along of Handel's masterwork. You provide the singing, and the St. Scholastica Center for Early Music Orchestra will provide the accompaniment. Musical faculty member emeritus Shelley Gruskin directs this popular holiday event. This is a free event, and musical scores can be purchased at the door for $15.

"Cambiata" is Italian for "changed." The Cambiata concert series celebrates changing styles and the enduring value of music. The rest of the 2015-16 Cambiata season includes:

  • Twin Ports Choral Project: "Spirit, Moving Over Chaos," 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2016
  • "Haydn, The Prince and Baryton," 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016

All performances are in the Mitchell Auditorium.
