Veterans Resource Center

Covid-19 Update

The Veteran Community at CSS continues to connect and share resources during our virtual online reality. Email with any questions or concerns and Ben, our Student Employee, will respond as well as share community connection opportunities. The VRC coordinator will be sending out weekly notices to students and recommends all students bookmark CSS Saints Life Goes Virtual website for more resources and activities.

The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) strives to provide resources and transition services to all military veterans, current and former military members, and their families in a way that promotes the Benedictine values of respect, hospitality, and community. The VRC has comfortable couches for relaxing, closet space for bags and books, fridge and microwave for your lunch, two computers with unlimited printing for college classes, and occasionally free snacks. We organize social events for networking opportunities, such as our Veteran's Day luncheon and new student social.

A Top-Ranked College for Veterans and Military Service Members

St. Scholastica has been ranked by US News & World Report as a Best College for Veterans among Midwest regional universities.  CSS is recognized for participating in federal initiatives helping veterans and active service members apply, pay for, and complete their degrees.

Assisting servicemen and women is a St. Scholastica tradition dating back to 1943 when many of our nursing students were called overseas through the Cadet Corps Program. St. Scholastica has been recognized for our effort in becoming a military friendly campus.

The College of St. Scholastica is:

  • designated by G.I. Jobs Magazine as a "military friendly" college for veterans and service members.
  • listed among the "Top Military Friendly Colleges & Universities" by Military Advanced Education magazine.
  • a member of the Servicemembers Opportunities Colleges (SOC) Consortium.
