Congratulations to new faculty emeritae
Please join The College of St. Scholastica in congratulating the following faculty members who will be awarded emerita status upon their retirement.
Faculty emeritus status is awarded to a select group of faculty members who retire from the College in good standing. It requires, among other things, “at least two important contributions the faculty members have made that constitute meritorious service to the College.” Nominations are reviewed by department chairs, deans and the vice president of Academic Affairs, who make their recommendations to President Barbara McDonald, Ed.D.
Ms. Madonna LeBlanc
Ms. Madonna LeBlanc has completed 25 academic years at The College of St. Scholastica, retiring as an assistant professor in the HIIM Department. Ms. LeBlanc was a chapter author for the first edition of the LaTour and Eichenwald’s Health Information Management Concepts, Principles and Practice textbook, and has been involved in each subsequent edition. The use of this textbook in her classes serves as a testament to the high regard in which the HIIM program at the College is held. Ms. LeBlanc’s passion as an educator extends beyond the classroom; she has successfully initiated and coordinated events with LifeSource, an organ procurement organization, and students for the last 10 years.
