Welcome to the Student Center! It’s a beautiful new space in the heart of our Duluth main campus and community. It will be a huge part of your experience on campus as a student! Here, you’ll have a place to thrive, both academically and socially.

A Space to Grow and Connect

Photo of the St. Scholastica Student Center.The Student Center opened after many years of planning and dreaming. The 17,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility features versatile spaces for studying, eating, and socializing. It also offers options for meetings and special events.

The building was thoughtfully designed to focus on creating opportunities for each student to find connection and community. Overall, it serves as a physical reflection of the Benedictine values that define the St. Scholastica experience, offering a welcoming space where students can learn, thrive, and live life together.

A Place to Build Community

Enjoy the Student Center’s 10 different common areas and beautiful outdoor patio space. Meet your friends between classes or gather over the weekend!

The Student Center is also the hub of campus activity, holding the Student Activities offices and lounge, as well as the Campus Ministry offices. Get involved with one of the 60+ student clubs and organizations we have at St. Scholastica. These groups will help you develop lifelong friendships and develop new skills.

Space for Studying

The Student Center offers 8 study rooms and 12 study booths, as well as a multitude of seating that you can sit and work in. Whether you need a quiet space to focus or a place to meet as a group, the Student Center is the perfect place to complete your classwork.

Honoring Beauty and Culture

Beauty dominates the entire Student Center. Compelling Benedictine symbolism is woven throughout the building and 356 feet of wall space has been dedicated to hanging artwork from students and local artists.

Grab a Bite to Eat

The Student Center features the Seekers Cafe. It’s a great place to enjoy great conversation with your friends between classes or get work done on your laptop while enjoying coffee or a snack. Seekers offers beverages and a variety of treats all day, and is a great option for late-night dining!
