Homecoming at St. Scholastica is a time to come together as a community to celebrate, reunite with or make lifelong friends, and cheer on our teams. Whether you’re a current student, a returning alum, or a family member visiting campus, there is so much for you to experience. Join us for some fun activities and sporting events. Go Saints!

It’s the time of year when Saints gather, connect, and participate in a variety of activities throughout Homecoming.

Tuesday, Oct 20

  • 2 p.m. — Women’s soccer against Gustavus Adolphus College, Kenny Harkins Field

Wednesday, Oct. 21

  • 2 p.m. — Men’s soccer against Gustavus Adolphus College, Kenny Harkins Field

Thursday, Oct. 22

6-8 p.m. — Storm the Clock: Homecoming Minute to Win It games, Storms Den

Friday, Oct. 23

  • 1 p.m. — Homecoming Preview Event, Student Center Large Flex
  • 3 p.m. — Homecoming Tent and Registration/Check-In (information) Table, Student Center Large Flex
  • 3 p.m. — Homecoming Kickoff Root Beer Floats, Student Center Patio (rain out loc: Large Flex)
  • 7 p.m. — CSS Volleyball against Concordia College, Reif Gymnasium
    • Concessions will be open
    • FREE gift give aways
    • Storm will be in attendance! Get your photo with Storm.
  • 7 p.m. — Nordic Ski Alumni and Friends, Tavern on the Hill

  • 7-9 p.m. — Saints Dance Team 56 Nights Paint the Path to Victory banner and tie dying, Student Center Large Flex
  • 9 p.m. — Bonfire and Live Musi at the Groves firepit; all are invited

Saturday, Oct. 24

  • 9 a.m. — Homecoming Tent and Registration/Check-In (information) Table, Student Center Large Flex
  • 9 a.m. — Annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids FUN Run, Science Center Front Lawn
    Register for 5K Run/Walk View 5k Run/Walk Map
  • 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. — Saints Homecoming Tailgate, Mitchell Parking Lot and Student Center Patio and Lawn (Rain out location: Student CenterLarge Flex)
    • Complimentary hotdogs, chips, and cookies for all attendees (veggie option will be available)
    • The first 50 attendees will receive a coupon for a FREE Unhitched Dirty Soda
    • Cash bar will be serving Bloody Marys and beer ($6/beverage) (ID’s will be checked at the Homecoming Check-In (information) able)
    • Other fun: music, lawn games, tattoos, stickers, and more!
  • 9:30-11 a.m. — Bingo, Cold Brew, and Cinnamon Rolls, Student Center Large Flex
  • 10 a.m.-Noon — Saints Shop Pop Up — purchase your Saints Gear!
  • 11 a.m. — Prism Concert: CSS Music Ensemble Showcase in Mitchell Auditorium
  • 12:30 p.m. — Homecoming Shuttle Bus to the football field, meet in the CSS Lot #2
  • 1 p.m. — CSS Football against St. Olaf College, Marv Heikkinen Field of Walt Hunting Stadium
    • Saints Shop Pop Up
    • Shuttle busses will be returning to campus at half time and after the football game
  • Immediately after the football game — Alumni and Parent Happy Hour, Clyde Iron Works

  • 6 p.m. — Athletics Hall of Fame Social, Student Center Large Flex (Invite only event)

Homecoming Fun Facts

Before the Blue & Gold

St. Scholastica’s colors weren’t always a sea of blue and gold! We originally sported purple and gold, but getting uniforms in those colors proved to be a challenge. So, in 1981, our uniforms got a makeover and blue and gold officially took the field!

Storm’s Story

In 1972, our St. Bernard mascot first debuted, before being retired in the 1980s. But like any good comeback story, he wasn’t gone for good! In 2002, our beloved mascot returned and this time, he had a name: Storm!

Through the Years

Over the years, Homecoming has had a few makeovers! In 1979, it moved from spring to fall and was renamed Fall Fest. Then, in 2008, the football program began and the celebration became the Homecoming tradition that we still celebrate today.

Saints Athletics

St. Scholastica is a proud member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC), one of the most prestigious NCAA DIII conferences in the nation. With 22 Division teams, club sports, and intramurals, there’s so many reasons to cheer.
