Summer is a wonderful time to experience all that Duluth and the Twin Ports has to offer. Conveniently located, you’ll only be minutes away from downtown Duluth and the shores of Lake Superior.
Whether you’re attending a conference, running Grandma’s Marathon, coming back for Reunion Weekend or participating in our Long-Term Summer Renter program, St. Scholastica is a beautiful place to stay. Housing options, rates and reservation information are listed below.
Long-Term Summer Rental
St. Scholastica is a wonderful place for anyone wanting to explore and experience the Twin Ports area during the summer.* Duluth and Superior offer many activities and adventures that are waiting for you to discover.
Live in either two- or four-bedroom non-smoking apartments located on the Duluth campus with access to trails nearby. A limited number of apartments with disability accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Summer rental cost: $1,998.20 ($1940 + 3% credit card processing)

Services
- Parking is free during the summer and guests can park in Lot 16 in front of Kerst Hall
- A full-service post office is available on the ground level of Tower Hall
- Temporary mailboxes available
- Temporarily redirect your mail to 1200 Kenwood Ave, Duluth, MN 55811
- Membership at the Burns Wellness Center is available for a small fee via the BWC front desk
- Full summer pass $50/person
- Monthly pass $25/person
- Weekly pass $10/person
- Access to the College’s chapel, library and grounds
- 24 hour Campus Safety office
Restrictions
- No pets (renters or their visitors)
- No smoking allowed inside the apartments or on campus
- Alcohol is not allowed in any public spaces or outside the buildings
*St. Scholastica students are not eligible for long-term summer rentals.
Grandma’s Marathon
Grandma’s Marathon is one of the most celebrated events in the Twin Ports area and we welcome all runners and guests. Stay on the historic, beautiful Duluth campus as you enjoy all of the weekend’s activities.

Reservations for the 2023 Grandma’s Marathon are no longer being taken.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel your reservation, contact us no later than 3 business days in advance of your arrival date for a full refund. Cancellations must be made via phone to Residential Life at 218-723-6391 or reslife@css.edu to be considered official and confirmed. Cancellations with less than 3 business days’ notice will be refunded half of the amount of their rental stay.
Conferences, Camps and Groups
St. Scholastica has wonderful housing options if you’re attending or hosting a conference or camp in Duluth.
Reservations
- The group or camp coordinator must contact contact Residential Life at reslife@css.edu to express interest in booking or reserving space. Residential Life will review it’s availability during your requested time.
- Once the group is approved, St. Scholastica will provide an online form for your group members to make reservations and submit payment
- Residential Life will email the group coordinator to alert group members that reservations are available to book online
