The College of St. Scholastica

The College of St. Scholastica will host its 16th annual Homecoming weekend on Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, Oct. 11. This weekend will feature a series of athletics competitions, an on-campus tailgate for the Saints community, and additional alumni gatherings.

“Homecoming is a cherished tradition at the College that brings together our alumni, students, parents, and the broader community for a weekend of celebration and connection,” said Rose Carpenter ’22 (MBA ’24), director of Alumni Engagement. “We can’t wait to have everyone together in community on the Duluth main campus.”

With fall sports in full swing, several athletic competitions are scheduled throughout the weekend. Home matches begin Friday night, with Saints volleyball taking on the Bennies of the College of Saint Benedict. The Saints’ energy continues into Saturday with soccer matches against the Concordia College Cobbers. Notably, the Saints football team goes head-to-head against the Carleton College Knights on Saturday afternoon.

Several additional events have been added to Saturday’s schedule. Saints of all ages and abilities are invited to the 3rd annual 5K Run/Walk, sponsored by St. Scholastica Nordic skiing, around the Duluth main campus. Students and alumni alike are also encouraged to kick off Homecoming 2025 with the ultimate Saints community celebration at the Campus Tailgate. The event will include local food trucks, a dirty soda bar, a beer garden, a DJ, and plenty of fun activities. Buses will be available to ride from campus to the football game. Additionally, the St. Scholastica Music Program is presenting its Prism Concert as part of the homecoming celebration. This free, hour-long performance will showcase the College’s instrumental and choral ensembles in a colorful showcase.

Later on Saturday evening, Alumni Engagement is hosting a Paint and Sip event for alumni and friends to unwind over guided painting presented by Northern Exposure Art and refreshments. Registration is required. The College will also induct the 14th class into the Athletics Hall of Fame. This event celebrates the excellence and contributions of past student-athletes and coaches.
