The College of St. Scholastica

St. Scholastica will host the Twin Ports Choral Project for a concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus.

The theme of the evening’s performance will be “It’s Complicated.” Musical selections will reflect on the complexity of relationships, and how they can cause joy, energy, sorrow, and confusion.

The musical selections will highlight the ups and downs of the complicated spiritual and secular relationships that each person faces in life. They’ll include: “A Boy and a Girl” by American composer Eric Whitacre; “Ich bin das Brot des Lebens” (“I Am the Bread of Life”) by German composer Wolfram Buchenberg; and “Dominus Regnavit” (“The Lord is King”) by Hungarian composer Levente Gyöngyösi.

Tickets are $10. For more information, visit spotlight.css.edu or call 218-723-7000.

The performance is part of St. Scholastica’s Cambiata Concert Series. “Cambiata” is Italian for “changed.” The series celebrates changing styles and the enduring value of music.

The final performance of the 2017-18 Cambiata series will be: “Composers in Contemplation” with pianist Nick Susi at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11.
