The College of St. Scholastica

St. Scholastica will host a special retirement lecture for longtime professor Dr. Tony Barrett on Friday.

The College’s Alumni Association and School of Business and Technology are hosting a retirement lecture for Barrett at 5 p.m. April 13 in the Mitchell Auditorium on campus. The lecture, “Lessons Learned,” will be followed by a reception.

Economics professor Barrett is frequently quoted by media across the region as an expert source on everything from the steel industry to cryptocurrencies. Barrett has worked at St. Scholastica for 28 years, which includes a stint as athletic director from 2005 to 2008. During that time, he established a Nordic ski team and was instrumental in bringing football to the College.
