The College's United for Africa club will stage its 11th annual African Heritage Festival at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in Somers Lounge on campus.
The event, themed "United We Stand," will feature authentic African cuisine, dance, and a fashion show. Admission is free for St. Scholastica students and $3 for members of the public.
Faculty advisor Elyse Carter-Vosen, assistant professor of Global, Cultural and Language Studies, called the festival a vibrant, community-building event.
"It has taken place for ten years and speaks so strongly to the legacy created by the first student leaders who founded United for Africa, which has been sustained so capably by each generation of students during this past decade," Carter-Vosen said.
