Commencement ceremony

Years of study, hard work and sacrifice paid off Saturday, May 9, for St. Scholastica's 862 candidates for graduation, who had the opportunity to walk across the stage at the Amsoil Arena and claim their degrees in front of friends and family. Here's a complete list of our graduates.

A total of 580 bachelor's degrees, 210 master's degrees, and 72 doctoral degrees were awarded during the well-attended event.

Rocklon Chapin, CEO/President of Benedictine Health System, gave the commencement address, while 2015 Leadership Award Recipient Emily Glomski delivered the student address.

The Duluth Scottish Heritage Pipers led graduates in the processional and recessional. Musical selections included an Honor Song performed by Wolf Clan, an American Indian Drum Group, and a performance of "America the Beautiful" by tenor music department instructor Bill Bastian. The College of St. Scholastica Steel Band, led by assistant music professor Jeremy Craycraft, performed "Mambo" by the Skiffle Bunch Steel Orchestra, arranged by Jeffrey A. Jones.

Local news media, including the Duluth News Tribune, WDIO, and Fox 21 covered the event, and we've put together a photo album of some of our favorite pictures from the day.

Congratulations, all!
