St. Scholastica's August Adventures are opportunities for like-minded students to gather before the start of the school year and have an adventure together. Meet some new friends, have a great time and get ready for the start of your college experience. Plus, you get to move in early!
Registration will open for August 2018 adventures in May 2018.
Benedictine Values in Action
Service is one of the Benedictine values at the heart of an education at The College of St. Scholastica. Community Service Orientation (CSO) is an excellent introduction to that spirit of service. The Benedictine value of Community teaches us that great good comes from helping others in need. CSO is the perfect opportunity to serve the local community, learn about various social issues, build community, develop new friends, and also HAVE FUN! Participants move in about a week before classes start and spend time getting to know each other and the community through service and social justice activities.

SOAR into college at St. Scholastica. You will travel to world-class outdoor venues while learning about college life and your new home. These trips are only offered to new CSS students, and the mission is to foster relationships and assist with the transition to becoming independent college students. A positive attitude and willingness to push yourself out of your comfort zone will allow our guides to lead you through these awesome experiences.

This orientation program is designed to assist new international students upon their arrival to the United States and in their transition to college. The agenda includes information about immigration regulations, cultural adjustment and awareness, vital services on campus and participating in fun events around Duluth.
At St. Scholastica, an international student is defined as a person who wishes to pursue an academic program or degree while on an F-1 or J-1 visa; these students are not U.S. citizens, permanent residents or refugees. Due to legally required aspects of the program, international student orientation is required for the students defined above, and is an invitation-only program.
