Arrive early

Wear comfortable shoes

A visit to CSS will involve a walking tour of our campus, so wear comfortable walking shoes. Some of the tour will be outdoors, so be sure to dress in layers. We also suggest bringing a camera.

Notify us of special accomodations

We are happy to make arrangements for any additional needs, such as an interpreter or a meeting with disability services. Please let us know of any special accommodations one week in advance of your visit.

We're glad you're thinking about visiting The College of St. Scholastica. There's no better way to make your decision on where to attend college than to get a feel for life on campus, meet with faculty and students, and take a tour. You'll be glad you did.

Campus Visit

A personal visit to The College of St. Scholastica usually includes meeting with an admissions counselor and taking a tour of our beautiful campus. It can include visiting with a faculty member and/or coach. Most campus visits last about two hours, depending on what activities you would like to include. Special arrangements can be made for you to:

  • Meet with a professor (depending on availability)
  • Visit with a coach (depending on availability)
  • Meet with a financial aid counselor
  • Attend a class (available from Oct. 1 — April 10)

Overnight Visit (Available Oct. 1 — April 9)

To get an idea of what campus life is really like - you are invited to spend a night in our residence hall during the academic year. You may incorporate this with a personal visit, special event or the shadow program.

      • Please schedule your overnight visit at least two weeks in advance.
      • You will be staying with some of our current students in their dorm rooms. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, etc.
      • Overnight visits are limited to one evening and are offered Sunday through Thursday only. Up to three meals in the College's Dining Hall will be provided for each prospective student.
      • We are unable to accommodate all housing requests.
        Please note: we cannot host visitors the first week of classes, when our students are on break, or when our students are preparing for and taking finals.

Shadow Visit (Available Oct. 1 — April 10)

Come and experience a "day in the life" of a St. Scholastica student during the academic year! We will match you up with a current CSS student. Your day will include:

  • attending classes
  • meeting professors
  • meeting students
  • having lunch in our Dining Hall
  • taking an inside look at college life
  • having fun!

If there is a specific date on which you would like to shadow, please let us know at least two weeks in advance. Please know your academic and extracurricular interest so that we can match you accordingly with a CSS student. * Please note: We cannot host visitors the first week of classes, when our students are on break, or when our students are preparing for, and taking, finals.

Open Houses

During the open house (which is first-year student focused), participants will:

  • Explore our beautiful campus
  • Meet our admissions staff, faculty and students
  • Learn about financial aid options
  • Experience campus life
  • Have the option to do an overnight stay in student housing (not available in September)

Health Career Day

Friday, December 5 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

If you're considering a career in the health sciences, Health Career Day is for you! This is an opportunity to explore and examine health career options. Focuses will include: physical therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, health informatics and information management, pre-med, social work, athletic training and exercise physiology.
