The College of St. Scholastica

Complete Your Master’s in 28 Months

The region’s leader in health science education, The College of St. Scholastica has been committed to meeting the healthcare needs of rural areas in Minnesota and neighboring states for over 100 years. Through a values-based curriculum, our Master of Science in PA Medicine program teaches you how to provide exceptional primary healthcare in any setting.

As healthcare costs rise and the number of physicians continues to decline, the demand for non-physician healthcare providers has boomed — especially in rural and underserved areas, where resources and providers are scarce. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for physician assistants will grow by 20% percent between 2024 and 2034.

In this program, you’ll learn from career-focused faculty in state-of-the-art classrooms with hands-on labs, as well as out in the field through clinical experiences. With over 300 clinical sites throughout the Midwest — including two local Level I and II trauma-designated, award-winning healthcare systems — clinicians who work with the program will provide your clinical training.

You’ll also collaborate with graduate students in several health professions to prepare for clinical practice through interprofessional teamwork. Upon graduation, you’ll be eligible to sit for the National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and be practice-ready.
