About | Youth Theology Institute

How, in a world of noise and activity, is it possible to listen for the still small voice of God speaking? What do our gifts, passions, and experience say to us about who we are? How can education and relationships help us to hear and become who we are called to be?

Sacred Word, Sacred World, Sacred Call is an ecumenical Youth Theology Institute designed to encourage you to dive into these questions. During the ten days of the Institute, you will stay on St. Scholastica's campus perched high atop a wooded bluff overlooking Lake Superior, the world's largest freshwater lake. You will experience and form a community of care and exploration within a sustainable rhythm that includes silence and song, prayer and work, study and play. You will explore sacred scriptures, encounter theological traditions, and draw on religious wisdom as you wrestle with contemporary moral and ethical challenges, make decisions about your future, and consider who and what God is calling you to be.
