Women's Soccer - vs. Crown College
Undefeated string continues with 5-1 victory over Crown College
The Saints stretched their unbeaten streak to 11 games with today's win in St. Boniacius. Five different players scored for St. Scholastica, helping them stay undefeated in the UMAC with a perfect 7-0-0 mark.
Becky Fisher not only got things rolling for the Saints early, but it was her first goal of the season, an unassisted one in the 15th minute of action. Less than one minute later Robin Johnson, with an assist from Jen Seip, widened the margin. The Saints carried that 2-0 score into the half.
Seip took her turn next with a goal a little over one minute into the second period. Kristen Stangel got the assist on the quick goal. Following form, Stangel scored the next goal for the Saints, assisted by Johnson, to put the Saints ahead 4-0.
Crown finally got on the board halfway through the period. The Saints held from there, though, scoring one more goal, an unassisted effort from Keely Raab that set the final score and gave the Saints their third win in a row.
