With visiting and proud alums in the stands, the Saints beat Lakehead University (Ontario) 3-0 to raise their season mark to an even 5-5.

St. Scholastica easily took game one, 30-23 after breaking out to an early lead. Game two saw the Thunderwolves play even with the Saints up to a 19-19 tie score but the home team pulled away for a 30-23 win.

Game three was played evenly throughout and the Saints had to battle to the end for the 30-27 win that captured the match.

Ashley Hanson had an outstanding day leading the team with 19 kills while also adding 3 service aces, 13 digs and 1.5 blocks. Natalie Ristow led all players in digs and Laura Lief had 31 assists in leading the Saints.

There was more excitement on the day as a team of alums returned to the court to play Lakehead in a scrimmage match that the past-Saints enjoyed and the visitors, who were playing their first competitions of the season, were able to juggle their lineup and get playing time for the rest of their roster.
