Women's Volleyball - vs. Macalester College
Saints fall to Macalaster

St. Scholastica inched closer each game but couldn't overcome a Scots team that hit on all cylinders offensively, falling 3-0 (23-30, 27-30, 30-32) to the host.

The Saints, themselves, achieved their best hitting percentage of the season with a .282 mark but couldn't match the .452 percentage the Scots threw at them. LeAnn Bersheit led the Saints with 11 kills and a .370 attack percentage while All-Conference performer Ashley Hanson added 10 kills. Berscheit also kicked in a match-leading seven service aces to boost the Saints.

Defensive Specialist Natalie Ristow led all match performers with 20 digs in the three-game match. As a team, the Saints led the Scots 66-28 in digs. Also defensively, St. Scholastica had 11.5 total team blocks compared to Macalester's 12.5.

The big difference between the two squads ended up being the success rate Macalester had offensively in attacks. The Saints had 10 more total attacks, 103-93, but the Scots pounded out 48 kills compared to 35 by the Saints.
