Women's Volleyball - vs. Elmhurst College Invite-Simpson College
Saints come back strong in second day of tournament
St. Scholastica opened their Elmhurst appearance by grabbing a 2-1 lead against eventual Invitational runner-up Simpson College. The Saints weren’t able to hold off Simpson's comeback though and fell in five games, 3-2.
In their next match the team found themselves down 2-0 to Nebraska Wesleyan but took the third game to tighten the match up. In a close fourth game, Nebraska Wesleyan was able to steal the last few points winning 30-26 for the 3-1 match victory.
Rallying on day two, St. Scholastica won 3-0 over Saint Mary’s (Ind.) in three close games, then defeated the University of Chicago 3-1 to close out their season-opening tournament with a 2-2 record.
