07/31/06 Saints unveil new Athletics logo There's a new Saint at St. Scholastica. Athletics Director Tony Barrett announced the unveiling of the new logo Monday afternoon. The logo finally unifies the 18-sport intercollegiate athletics program under one design.
07/30/06 Softball, Baseball win Academic All-Conference Team Awards Not only did the Saints softball and baseball teams get the job done on the field this past spring -- each earned an at-large bid to their respective NCAA Tournament -- but they also took care of matters in the classroom by earning the UMAC Academic All-Conference Award for their sport.
06/19/06 Former Saints All-American wins Bjorklund Half-Marathon Three-time NAIA All-American Desiree Budd (St. Scholastica, '01) demolished the field Saturday morning in the Garry Bjorklund Half-Marathon, taking the 2006 title by more than five minutes over runner-up Gina Morgan.

06/08/06 Student-Athlete forms for Athletic Training requirements now available Saints athletes can now obtain the necessary forms for athletic particpation by proceeding to the Athletic Training page then printing the appropriate documents to be filled out and returned to the Athletic Training office.
06/02/06 Baseball's Olin earns All-American honor Saints third baseman Luke Olin culminated a career-best season with one final honor, earning inclusion on the ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division-III All-American team.
05/25/06 Moriarty, Olin lead Saints onto All-Region Team Senior third baseman Luke Olin and junior pitcher Mark Moriarty were named to the 2006 NCAA Division III All-Midwest Region Baseball Team Wednesday afternoon, leading a parade of five Saints onto the squad.
05/22/06 St. Scholastica wins conference all-sports crown The Saints used nine conference championships to lead them to their first outright Kruse Award title since earning the award after the 1997-1998 competitive year (the Saints tied for the title in 1999-2000 with Northwestern College). St. Scholastica and the Eagles from Northwestern ran away from the field in the title chase this year with the Saints winning the award by 1 point over the runner-up. What makes the victory sweeter for the Saints is the fact they compete in only 13 of the 15 contested sports the UMAC uses in the Kruse standings.

05/19/06 Saints lead UMAC in Academic All-Conference honorees The UMAC released their spring sports Academic All-Conference list and St. Scholastica led the way with 28 individual honorees. Of the six sports comprising the spring sports list, the Saints were regular season champions in five of them and post-season champions in four.

05/16/06 Tennis season ends with national tournament berth The CSS women's tennis team concluded their 2006 season with a first-round loss in the NAIA national tournament, falling 8-1 to the tournament host University of Mobile (Ala). The Saints ended with a record of 25-6 while Mobile (18-4) advanced to the second round match with Southern Nazarene (Okla.).

05/05/06 Saints name former national level coach to Nordic position St. Scholastica hired its first Nordic ski coach today and got themselves a big fish. Eight year U.S. National Biathlon Team member and former U.S. Junior Development Biathlon Coach Chad Salmela will step into the role of head coach for the men's and women's Nordic programs which will begin competing next year.
