Be Aware...Be Informed...Be Smart! What is our Mission:
As peer educators, working in collaboration with The College of St. Scholastica community, we are committed to actively support our fellow students in making life choices that positively impact their health and well-being. Roles of Storm's Advocates: Storm's Advocates is an organization of students who present educational programs promoting health and wellness. Storm's Advocates sponsor a variety of campus wide events and activities promoting awareness among The College of St. Scholastica student body. Topics on which this program focuses includes: - Eating Issues
- Alcohol and Other Drug Awareness
- Violence Prevention
- Sexual Health
- Stress Management
- Self Esteem
- Emotional Well-Being
Standards of Conduct: - Storm's Advocates will respect the autonomy and individual dignity of the students with whom they work
- Storm's Advocates will avoid acting beyond the scope of service for which they were selected and trained, and not attempt to offer professional services requiring more extensive qualifications and training.
- Storm's Advocates will maintain the right to privacy and confidentiality of the students with whom they work.
- Storm's Advocates will act for the benefit and welfare of students, being careful to avoid issues in which conflict of interest, bias, or dual relationship could jeopardize this helping stance.
