The Graduate PLUS Loan is available to graduate/professional students. This loan is similar to the Parent PLUS loan for undergraduate students, accept it is available to the graduate student, not their parents. The Graduate PLUS loan is at a locked 8.5% interest rate for the life of the loan, and can be consolidated with other federal loans at repayment if you wish. If you have used one of these lenders, you will not find their name on the lender list when you apply for your loans; you will need to select a new lender

Your current loans are secure, and in most cases, will continue to be serviced by the servicing company that currently holds them. If they are sold, you will be notified by the lender/servicer.
