St. Scholastica (15-14, 8-3 UMAC) swept through an overmatched Presentation College (12-15, 4-7 UMAC) squad in straight sets on Saturday afternoon in Aberdeen, S.D., for their 15th win, surpassing the .500 mark for the first time all season.

The UMAC victory also allows St. Scholastica to keep pace in the conference standings with Bethany Lutheran and Northland. All three are tied for second place in the league standings at 8-3, behind 11-0 Northwestern.

The Saints roared out to a 30-18 win in game one, then pounded out a 30-14 game two victory before clinching the match with a 30-26 game three win.

The offensive attack shone brightly in the victory as St. Scholastica had 52 kills to only 26 by Presentation. Shawna Varichak led the Saints with a match-high 18 and Dustie Richardson added 15 more in the win.

St. Scholastica also had eight service aces in the match, six by Cassie Roden.
