Women's Volleyball - vs. Presentation - UMAC Crossover
SAINTS PICK UP EASY WIN OVER PRESENTATION AT CROSSOVER
Saints head coach Dana Moore was able to get some court time for every player on her bench in the team's 3-0 win over overmatched Presentation College in the second match of the day for St. Scholastica at the UMAC Crossover hosted by Northland College in Ashland, Wis., Friday evening. The usual suspects led the Saints offensively with the trio of Amy Thompson, Dustie Richardson, and Shawna Varichak combining for 36 kills. Setter Kati Berscheit tallied 39 assists. Along with freshman Molly Roith, Jordan Beach, and sophomore Brittany Brownell who have seen limited action earlier this season, newcomers Megan Severson and Katie Kimm gained court time for the first time in 2007. The Saints (7-10, 2-0 UMAC) held Presentation (7-8, 0-2 UMAC) to just a 0.058 attacking percentage while the Saints had a season-high 0.283 success rate when on the attack. The win keeps the Saints undefeated in UMAC action after the first day of the Crossover. They will take on Martin Luther College and Bethany Lutheran College on Saturday to complete the Crossover competition.
