Women's Volleyball - vs. Ill. Wes. - Millikin Classic
SAINTS FALL TO ILL. WESLEYAN IN FINAL MATCH OF CLASSIC
The Saints (5-10) closed out the Millikin (Univ.) Classic in Decatur, Ill., on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to Illinois Wesleyan University (8-9). Following a heartbreaking early morning loss to NYU in four, the Saints had a two hour wait before their match with IWU and got off to a slow start, falling 30-21 in the opener. They bounced back in the second though still lost 30-28, then ran out of gas in the third dropping a 30-20 game that gave the match to IWU. The Saints closed out their visit to Millikin with a 1-3 record. Shawna Varichak made the All-Tournament team after registering 66 kills, 45 digs, eight service aces, and 3.5 blocks over four matches.
