Women's Soccer - vs. Presentation
EIGHT DIFFERENT SAINTS SCORE IN WIN OVER PRESENTATION

St. Scholastica (4-1-1, 2-0-0 UMAC) pounded out a 9-0 win over host Presentation College (0-7-0, 0-2-0) on Sunday afternoon in Aberdeen, S.D., as eight different Saints scored in the rout.

Among the 'firsts' for St. Scholastica were first collegiate goals for sophomore's Alyssa Wilson, Melissa Entinger, and Victoria Witrack, as well as for freshman Serena Carr.

Senior Betsey Palsmiscno, a transfer prior to her junior season which was cut short by injury, netted her first goal as a Saint with a penalty kick score in the first half, and sophomores Beth Flesvig and Amanda Hakala, along with freshman Nicole Brandt, each registered their first collegiate point with assists.

Sophomore Jen Krokum scored once and added three assists for a five point day, while sophomore transfer Sarah Bartlette scored twice to take over the team scoring lead with seven points on the year.

The Saints pounded away at the Presentation goal, taking 62 shots in the contest, 39 making it on frame.

Lisa Hoium literally hit the 'frame' five times -- which are officially not counted as "shots on goal" -- nailing the left and right posts three times and the cross-bar twice.

Meanwhile, back on the defensive end...there was nothing. Saints keeper Kelly Vilen was an innocent bystander as the Saints kept possession so decisively that they didn't allow Presentation a single shot in the entire game, not even a corner kick opportunity.

While Vilen picked up the win in goal, Presentation goalie Sarah Whitlock earned battle pay on the day making 30 saves which, unbelievably, is not close to the NCAA record of 55 saves in a single game.
