Men’s basketball places four on Honors Court
The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has released their 2007 NABC Honors Court and four St. Scholastica men’s players earned recognition this season. Derek Johnson (’07) and William Maupins (’07) are joined by Kyle Allen (’09) and Jesse Taylor (’09) on this year’s national honor’s court. Johnson, the 2007 UMAC Tournament MVP and the program’s 3-point field goals career leader, picked up his third consecutive NABC academic honor. Maupins, who was named the UMAC’s 2007 Player of the Year, Allen, and Taylor each earned Honors Court recognition for the first time. The four Saints helped lead their team to a second consecutive UMAC postseason tournament title this past February.
