Women's Softball - vs. CROWN
SAINTS TAKE FIRST OF TWO FROM CROWN
Ten different Saints batters collected a hit in a 13-1 win over Crown College (3-20, 0-13 UMAC) in the first game of a conference doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at Kenwood Field. St. Scholastica (21-16, 12-1 UMAC) scored three in the first to jump to the lead then pushed two more across the plate in both the second and third innings before exploding for six in the bottom of the fourth. Brenna Zavodnik (2-for-3) registered the only multi-hit game for the Saints while Michaela Carlson had a pair of RBI to lead the team. Eight other teammates picked up one RBI apiece. Starting pitcher Mary Jo McNamee (3-1) earned the win on the mound for St. Scholastica pitching five innings and allowing only one unearned run on one hit, three walks, and four strikeouts.
