The Legend of The Pretzel

The pretzel, shaped like hands on opposite shoulders, was created by an Italian monk in 610 AD as a "little reward" for children who said their prayers. The pretzel spread to monasteries throughout Europe and became an important symbol in the Catholic Church. It is thought to bring good fortune, prosperity and spiritual wholeness to those who eat it. So too is our wish for you as you enjoy Pane di Scholastica, the "bread of St. Scholastica."

What is Pane di Scholastica?

Pane di Scholastica is a student run organization, providing entrepreneur and internship experience to students looking to pursue a career in a business related field. Pane di Scholastica students are involved in every process of the pretzel; from the baking, to the selling, the students do it all!
