Men's Baseball - vs. Kenyon (Ohio) College
LORDS BOW TO SAINTS IN FLORIDA

The Kenyon (Ohio) College Lords ran into a hot-hitting St. Scholastica squad Friday morning in Fort Pierce, Florida, as the Saints pounded out 16 hits in their 20-1 victory in the first of two between the teams.

St. Scholastica (8-3) scored two in the first, five in the second, six in the third and then six more in the fourth while knocking three Kenyon (11-4) pitchers off the mound.  Their fourth pitcher kept the Saints from scoring for two innings but St. Scholastica picked up one more in the top of the seventh. All 20 runs were earned runs.

Meanwhile, Adian Kummet was pitching a gem of a game for the Saints in earning the win. He allowed only one run on four hits, two walks and five strikeouts in six innings. Closer Dan Lanari came on in relief of Kummet in the seventh and recorded the final three outs, two by strikeout.

Eleven different batters had at least one hit for the Saints including Chad Weiss' 2-for-3 day that included five RBI and four runs scored.

Seth Harvey was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs, while Mike Lewis and Sean Tracy were each 2-for-2 in the win. Lewis added a pair of RBI as did Tracy with his two-run homer.

Blake Eller continued his hot spring trip with four RBI and two runs scored on a 1-for-4 day. Steve Kraushaar had one hit, a double, but picked up four RBI and scored twice.

The win marks the sixth in a row for the Saints. Kenyon dropped their second consecutive game.
