St. Scholastica survived two late inning rally attempts by Dickinson (PA) College to hold on to a 2-1 win and even their overall record at 5-5.

The Saints scored both of their runs in the fourth when with one out Erica Kocazek reached when the Dickinson catcher dropped a third strike. One pitch later she scored on a triple by Rilee Dawson, who then scored on Gina Garramone's single. It was Garramone's fifth consecutive hit.

Dickinson rallied in the fifth with two doubles to get to within a run. They also loaded the bases in the sixth with two outs, but pitcher Amy Jansen got the lead off hitter to pop up to first baseman Krystal Kinney.

Jansen (2-3) scattered nine hits and struck out four.

The Saints now have a day off before winding up their spring trip with a game on Thursday and Friday.
