Women's Softball - vs. University of New England (ME)
SAINTS ROLL TO EASY WIN
The Saints (4-5) used a seven run fourth inning to put away the University of New England 11-1. Ten consecutive batter reached base, including Gina Garramone who topped her perfect 3-3 day with a two run single. She had singled and doubled earlier.
The Saints got on the board first scoring one in the first inning on a successful double steal by Chelsey Weiss and Brenna Zavodnik. UNE tied it up in the bottom of the inning on a hit and an error, but that was a close as they would get as pitcher Rilee Dawson yielded no more hits to notch her third win of the season. She struck out six and walked three.
Both Weiss and Zavodnik, the Saints one and two batters, were on base all seven of their at bats to lead the Saints.
