CytoGenetics, Cytotechnology and DNA Analysis

Biology majors at St. Scholastica have the option to pursue several highly specialized tracks of study. CytoGenetics (the study of chromosomes) is a new major.  Cytotechnology (the study of cells) has also been added. For both programs, the College is affiliated with the Mayo School of Health Sciences in Rochester, MN. For students interested in pursuing a career in forensic DNA analysis, St. Scholastica offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to use a DNA seuencing machine, one of only a few in the state.
