SENIOR SALUTE On April 7th and 8th, Senior Salute will be held. This is a two-day period when different departments on campus set up tables in the Student Union. All spring graduates will be required to come to each table to take care of exiting materials (i.e. signing forms, address changes, purchasing of commencement regalia, RSVP for Graduation Brunch, etc.). This will obviate the need to send you all over campus to take care of the things that are needed prior to graduation. Distant students who are unable to attend will receive a Senior Check List to assist them with their exiting materials. Caps and gowns can be ordered after Senior Salute by contacting the Bookstore (218) 723-6622.
HONORS...(BA Students)
To graduate with Honors requires a GPA of 3.50 and with Highest Honors requires a GPA of 3.75. These academic honors are dependent upon the final grades of the last term of all graduates. Because these results are not known at the time of the ceremony we do not read "With Honors" designations during the ceremony; however, they will be printed in the program. Once final grades and credits have been calculated and you have met the criteria, the designation of "With Honors" or "With Highest Honors" will appear on both your transcript and your diploma. A minimum of 48 St. Scholastica credits with grade points are required to graduate with Honors or Highest Honors.
REGALIA (cap & gowns), ANNOUNCEMENTS
There will be no pre-ordering of regalia for commencement. Cap, gown and tassel will be available to purchase at Senior Salute on April 7th and 8th. Orders can be taken over the phone for ADEP students after those dates or they can be purchased in the CSS Bookstore in May. Two different announcements will be available through the bookstore or during Senior Salute. The first type is the Universal, with an insert card with the date (no pre-ordering is required); and the second, the Personalized, requires a pre-order (these take 3 weeks to be delivered). The CSS Bookstore's phone number is 218-723-6622. Graduates can also purchase their announcements on-line. HELP US GET YOUR NAME RIGHT!If you have concerns about how your name will be pronounced at the ceremony, or if your name is commonly mispronounced, Dr. Beth Domholdt, Vice President for Academic Affairs, has scheduled blocks of time for short name pronunciation rehearsals. Students who have these concerns, should stop by Tower Hall 2111 during any of the scheduled times listed below: Monday, May 5, at 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, at 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. If you cannot make these scheduled times, or if you are a distant student, please call (218) 723-6012 and leave a slow message clearly pronouncing and spelling your name.
