Women's Volleyball - vs. CROWN COLLEGE
SAINTS DEFEAT CROWN 3-0

The Saints defeated Crown College in three games Friday night, winning 30-21, 30-25 and 30-23. It was their second of three home matches this week.

LeAnn Berscheit led the CSS women with 8 kills while sister Kati Berscheit had 28 assists. Senior captain Diana Moody added 10 digs as well.

With the victory, the Saints climbed to 12-11 overall and 3-2 in UMAC play while the Purple Storm fell to 4-12 on the season and 0-5 in conference play.

After a game delay due to travel complications, St. Scholastica and Crown finally took the floor at the Reif gymnasium around 8:30 pm for a match set to begin at 7:00 pm.

Despite the distraction of the game delay and losing outcome, Crown showed strong defensive play. Jennifer Sunwall had 16 kills for the Storm while Danielle Schiebout led with 7 digs. Setter Annette Case registered 32 assists in the three-game match.

Tomorrow, the Saints face Northwestern College for the first time this season. The Eagles stand at 8-13 and 3-2 in the UMAC, so Saturday's match will be a battle for third place in the conference standings.
