Women's Soccer - vs. Crown College
FIRST HALF BARRAGE LEADS SAINTS TO WIN OVER CROWN

St. Scholastica dominated host Crown College in a conference match-up Friday afternoon in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota, recording a 3-0 shutout victory over the Purple Storm that keeps the Saints atop the UMAC standings with a perfect conference mark.

The Saints defense allowed only one shot on goal all game and limited the Storm to only four shots in the entire game. Meanwhile, nine of the 13 shots from St. Scholastica were on goal.

Freshman Angie Groh scored the opening goal of the game -- her second goal of the season and second first-goal -- at 20:30 of the first half on the Saints' third shot on goal.

Less than four minutes later, right midfielder and senior Krista Parrent scored her first of the year with an assist by Shannon Kresky as the Saints were peppering Storm goalkeeper Bethany Fowler and now had a 2-0 lead.

Kresky picked up her second of the season with a goal in the 28th minute that finished the barrage on the Storm net as the Saints scored three times in a span of less than eight minutes.

Momsen upped her season record in goal to 5-1-1 with the win and dropped her goals against average to 0.53 per game.

St. Scholastica moved to 6-1-1 overall and 3-0-0 in the UMAC while Crown dropped to 3-4-0 and 1-2-0.
