Women's Volleyball - vs. Luther College
SAINTS PICK UP 2ND WIN AT SUGARLOAF CLASSIC
After dropping game one of their Saturday morning match against Luther College, the Saints stormed back to reel off three wins in a row and capture their second victory at the Sugarloaf Classic in Winona, Minnesota.
St. Scholastica fought back from the 1-0 deficit to take the next two games by 30-21 and 30-20 scores.
In what would be the final, fourth game of the match, the Saints and Norse battled until the bitter end with the Saints eventually clinching the match with a 31-29 win.
Diana Moody led the Saints with 26 digs as Cassie Roden chipped in with another 22. Overall, the Saints had 91 defensive digs to only 53 for Luther.
Sophomore Shawna Varichak led the Saints offensively with 11 kills in the four-game match victory.
With the win, the Saints have now won two in a row after losing their first six matches of the season and will next play in the Fifth Place match later in the afternoon at the Classic.
