In concert with the English Department, the Rose Warner Writing/Critical Thinking Center, located in T3111, offers tutoring sessions on a drop-in basis or by appointment. We provide a casual, student-friendly atmosphere where all students can receive free, collaborative feedback on everything from proof-reading to thesis development. While our number one goal is to increase student writing success, we strive to fulfill the mission statement of the College, which regards humanistic exploration of the big issues-and the engagement of the "whole" person-as fundamental objectives of a sound, comprehensive education.

Although we pay attention to pesky comma splices or probe ideas using our sharpened critical thinking skills, not far from our vision is the consideration of our relationships: with ourselves, with others, and with the world.

Finally, we view writing and critical thinking as integral parts of learning, and that writing prowess, coupled with independent, critical thinking skills, produces conscientious citizens who, empowered, empower others.

The Rose Warner Writing/Critical Thinking Center provides techniques and resources to help you become a more capable, informed writer.
