Men's Cross Country - vs. Tom Barry Invitational
SAINTS FINISH THIRD IN GREEN BAY

The St. Scholastica men's cross country team improved their 2005 Tom Barry Invitational results by moving up two team places to third this year at the 4 mile race in Green Bay's Colburn Park.

The Saints accumulated 72 points at the Invitational, behind only race champion St. Norbert's 35 points and Ripon College's 59.

Freshman Dan Conley -- running in his first race representing St. Scholastica -- led the Saints with a 3rd place finish in a time of 21 minutes and 26 seconds.

Jason Kask (10th, 21:44), Chris Rubesch (11th, 21:48), Joe Stromsness (21st, 22:55) and Kyle Smith (29th, 23:25) followed Conley in the points places for the Saints.

The race field consisted of 93 runners, and the winning time for St. Norbert's Jeff Pentek was 20:50.

Last year, St. Scholastica finished in fifth place with 131 points in the team standings which were headed by first place Ripon and runner-up St. Norbert.
