Jump Start is an opportunity for new students to spend time on campus before classes begin in September. Jump Start offers academic enrichment in three areas:

Writing

Computer Training
-
Service Learning
In addition to academics, portions of the progam include:
Team Building Opportunities
Boat ride on the vista Queen/King
Trip to Goose Berry Falls and point of interest in Duluth
Cook out
Movie night
The purpose of Jump Start is to provide students the opportunity to learn and get better prepared for the rigor of college classes. At the end of this summer bridge program, you should be able to write an acceptable paper, know and understand our technology system and apply theory to practical experiences you will receive 2 credits that do not apply toward the 128 needed to graduate.
Jump Start will begin on Sunday August 13, 2006 at 5:00 PM. The program is capped at twenty students on a first come basis.
