The College of St. Scholastica is privileged to award the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship to current members of this scholastic national honor society. The Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society promotes values concurrent and consistent with those held by the College. Scholarship, scholastic integrity and perseverance are hallmarks of the St. Scholastica tradition, and we welcome PTK members as students who have demonstrated their respect for scholarship. Our commitment to the members of PTK has been to create a $1,000 renewable scholarship to be awarded automatically to all PTK members in good standing. The details on eligibility follow. Before proceeding, the Transfer Admissions Office would like to congratulate you on your scholastic achievement and that which you will attain at the College!
This academic scholarship is for all new transfer students with current membership in the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and completion of at least 12 semester credit hours. Past membership in Phi Theta Kappa may be applied to eligibility if all subsequent course work results in a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (excludes students enrolled in special programs with reduced tuition rates).
Applicants must be seeking their first undergraduate degree and must be a U. S. citizen.
The scholarship will be awarded at the time of acceptance, and notice will be given on applicant's acceptance letter. To renew this scholarship, a GPA of 2.5 at full-time status must be maintained at The College of St. Scholastica. Awardees are ineligible to receive the Alpha Beta Gamma Scholarship.
