  • Cumulative GPA of at least 2.8
  • Applicants must have taken, or be registered to take, the MN-NES Essential Academic Skills. This requirement can be waived for students who completed the ACT or SAT with sufficient scores.

    Score requirements are:
    • ACT - Composite score of 22 or greater and Combined English/Writing score of 21 or greater
    • SAT+ Writing - Score of 510 or greater and a math score of 520 or greater

Note: Meeting minimum entrance requirements does not guarantee admission.

A returning student is a student who was admitted and enrolled in a program at St. Scholastica, but has been absent from the program for at least three continuous semesters, including summer. Our goal is to make this process smooth and easy for your return to St. Scholastica.

Apply for readmission

To return to the same program at St. Scholastica, a returning student must be in good academic standing and must apply for readmission to the College.

  • Click on Undergraduate/Transfer Application
  • Log in with your email address, or Create a New Account
  • Be sure to answer "Yes" to the question "Were you previously enrolled in this program at St. Scholastica, and now applying for re-admission?", and this will cause the application to skip any essay or recommendation requirements.
  • There is no fee for applying for readmission.

Taken classes elsewhere? We'll need transcripts.

If a returning student has taken courses through other colleges during their absence from St. Scholastica, official transcripts from those colleges will be required for readmission.

Please consult with your admissions counselor regarding the steps in the process for the following situations:

Readmission to the College under Academic Probation or Dismissal

A student who left the College on academic probation or enforced withdrawal, must, in addition to fulfilling the requirements listed above, apply at least one month before the application deadline for the term which the student expects to enroll and should show evidence of positive life change or academic progress in support of the application. Applications for students who withdrew under these circumstances will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, which will make a recommendation to the VP for Academic Affairs. The decision made by the VP for Academic Affairs is final.

Returning Student Fresh Start Program

After readmission, a student returning to The College of St. Scholastica after a minimum non-enrollment period of five years may petition to the fresh start program. The fresh start program allows for a restart on a student’s grade point average. The student must petition the Registrar for the deletion of his/her former GPA. The new record will show all past courses, grades and credits, without indicating honor points. The GPA would then be calculated only on the credits earned upon return to The College of St. Scholastica.
