Prospective CLEAN participants applying to St. Scholastica

  1. Apply online

Note: Acceptance to The College of St. Scholastica is independent of the CLEAN Program. Although CLEAN staff members may advocate for you and your acceptance to the college, the admissions process is facilitated by the admissions staff and your acceptance depends on whether or not you meet the admissions requirements.

  2. Send in your high school and college transcripts

Send your high school and college transcripts (even if no credits were received) to:

    Admissions Department
    The College of St. Scholastica
    1200 Kenwood Avenue
    Duluth, MN 55811
  3. Update your FAFSA

School Code = CSS FAFSA Code: 002343

  4. Review the Student Support Services (SSS) application criteria and fill out an inquiry form if considered eligible.

  5. Provide CLEAN staff with an overview of your academic progress (transcripts not required). This narrative should qualitatively discuss if your grades to date accurately reflect your ability, or if your drug and alcohol use compromised your academic performance.

Note: This step is only suggested if your academic history is questionable or you consider it to be an inaccurate representation of your studiousness.

  6. You are required to report any felonies on your applications.

If you have a criminal background and are concerned about how it may affect your application, please contact the Admissions Office.  The counselor will talk with you about the documentation and disclosure required to process your application. Given that we understand that some charges on criminal backgrounds are a direct result of a lifestyle influenced by chemical dependency, we wish to assess each candidate fairly by viewing their criminal history in their larger life narrative.

We think this is a wonderful and amazing program and would love share it with you.

We look forward to receiving your application and working with you through the process. Thank you for your interest in The College of St. Scholastica and the CLEAN Program.
