Ice Age National Scenic Trail

Due to increased demand for SOAR trips, we added another backpacking trip option... Backpacking the Ice Age Trail! On this trip, you will hike along a section of the thousand-mile footpath entirely located in our neighboring state of Wisconsin.  The trail highlights landscape features which were sculpted by an immense flow of glacial ice over 12,000 years ago.  As the glacier retreated it left behind remnants that are considered some of the world's finest examples of how contintntal glaciation shapes our planet.  When you arrive at camp each day you will get settled in and enjoy sleeping under the starts. When you catch a shooting star, you can decide if you would like to share your wish with your trip-mates. The guides are happy to talk about college at St. Scholastica and their life experience so far... so grill them and get answers to those questions you have yet to ask.
