V.I.T.A. (Volunteers Involved Through Action)

VITA invites students to make a difference in the world. The club's purpose is to help students reach out to members of the CSS community, greater Duluth and beyond, through volunteer experiences and opportunities to learn about social concerns.

Want More Volunteer Opportunities? These CSS Clubs also provide volunteer opportunities!

Circle K: The purpose of Circle K is to promote the improvement of society through acts of kindness and volunteering by people of all ages and abilities. The club meets once every other week. Some activities we do include volunteering at Bentleyville by dressing up as costume characters and giving out breakfast during Breakfast with Santa. We have also made tie blankets, cards for soldiers/people in nursing homes, socks with grips, and learned about leadership and what social justice is. We strive to include everybody and work frequently with our parent club, Kiwanis.

Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF): The purpose of STLF is to create a new generation of student leaders by revealing leadership through service, actions and relationships. We do this by volunteering at various nonprofit organizations in Duluth and across the country for our spring break Pay It Forward Tour. Over spring break we travel to 6 cities with a bus full of 45 students and do multiple, diverse service projects at each stop. In the evenings we take time to engage in leadership building activities.

Oxfam: The mission of CSS Oxfam is to help educate the community about the injustice of poverty and the importance of sustainability, while empowering individuals to make decisions that will lead to a future that is just, secure, and equitable for all. It is open to anyone in the CSS community who is passionate about serving the underserved population in Duluth.
