Participant Information

What should I expect?
-Service: typically 5-6 hours a day Monday through Friday
-Reflection: daily. Includes personal journaling and group discussion about trip experiences, social justice, and spirituality.
-Group Experiences: All excursions during the trip are group based, not individual.
-See goals and core values.
-Any student who needs assistance in gaining equal access to CSS programs due to physical, psychological, or learning disability, as well as attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, a visual or hearing impairment and/or chronic medical condition should request assistance through the Center for Equal Access. Goals of Alternative Break Experiences Trip
-Instill a desire to serve and promote social justice
-Discover ways to express faith and values through action
-Explore Catholic social teaching and what it invites and challenges each of us to do
-Foster solidarity among students and the broader community
-Empower students to develop leadership skills
